Death of Kid Miracle man and one of the most controversial comics ever published. Miracleman 15 Modern 9.8 Publisher: Eclipse Comics
Publication Date: November 1988
Writer: Alan Moore
Art by: John Totleben
Key Notes:
Death of Key Character: Kid Miracleman
Rarity: Low Print Run: 7,000
Market Availability: Scarce
Issue Title: Nemesis

Issue Synopsis (Spoiler Alert!):

Arguably one of the most controversial comics in the Marvelman/Miracleman run and probably in the history of comics in general. Kid Marvelman/Kid Miracleman unleashes his psychotic rage on the London populace when his prepubescent alter ego, Johnny Bates, suffers a physical and sexual assault (as seen in issues 13 and 14) at the hands of three teenage juvenile deliquents in a shelter for orphaned boys.

The atrocities are graphically illustrated, replete with images which are quite disturbing and never before seen in the pages of a 4-color comic. The ensuing battle which takes place between Marvelman/Miracleman and Kid Marvelman/Miracleman nearly decimates London, leaving in the wake thousands of casualties, and perhaps the most shocking ending in the pages of any comic book: the hero's decison to kill a foe.
