Collecting comics shouldn't have parameters or limitations. I believe you should collect the characters you relate to, the stories you enjoy and the art that you appreciate. You shouldn't be limited to genres, eras, sets or particular brands of comics. The Universal Comic Collection definitely abides by this philosophy and the collection contains comics featuring dozens of characters, spanning 7 decades (60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s, 20s), from 7 comic universes (Marvel, DC, BOOM!, Dynamite, Image, Chaos and Avatar)!

Condition is everything when it comes to collecting graded comics and all comics within this collection are graded by CGC 9.0 VF-NM or higher (with the majority of the modern comics at 9.8). The collection is catalogued by issue date and currently contains 351 CGC graded comic books (including 69 Signature Series). Each comic listing has a photo of the cover and back of the comic, a brief description of its cover art, the title of the issue and details of its CGC census statistics (upon inclusion).

With this custom set I would like to break the norms and create a high-quality, informative and aesthetically appealing online display of all my favorite comics with no parameters or concern for points or standing in the registry. Most importantly, this is a hobby that I enjoy. I find the hunt for a specific comic exciting and the process of cataloging fun! I do hope to one day be worthy of a Registry Award for my efforts with this online display of my collection.
