I admit it - being a reprint of issue 1, this book does not carry a great deal of interest to me. (I guess Barry was on holiday and Marvel needed to publish something... Just like the reprint of Savage Tales 1 in Conan the Barbarian 16.) Apart from that fact, the Barry Smith cover on this book is very nice and original, and it is indeed a beautiful book with perfect cover orientation and pure white pages.
In July 2017 there were 12 Conan the Barbarian #22 CGC 9.8 books, and I have found photos of 9 of these books. 5 of these 9 books had pure white pages, and of course nothing beats Carlo's 0016841007, an absolutely amazing book with perfect cover centering and orientation - and the Comic Code stamp in the top right corner is not cut and Barry Smith's art is also not cut at the bottom of the cover. So my book will not be better than Carlo's book, but at least the Comic Code stamp is also not cut and the cover orientation is perfect. Then again, with 5 to 7 books in 9.8 with pure white pages, beggars cannot be choosers when it comes to this book, but we can of course continue to dream of more perfect books, including a 9.9 or 10.0... ;-)
