Owner's Description
1st full appearance of Alpha Flight. We finally get to see them in action, and they are bringing it! Glad to add another well centered and presenting issue to my collection. This is a long tale by Claremont, but one that helped X-men stay in business that kept it alive for me to enjoy! A now classic issue and cover of the Alpha Flight in full swing of battle, who is to say friend or foe? Keeping their Canadian colors, even on their uniforms, they are coming to terms of the X-men mission and what they will do to react or help. Sometimes the best of friends is as unlikely, especially when the 1st impressions don't go over well. Letting the Wolverine do what he wants was not easy, nor a decision that the Vindicator took lightly. As leader of the team, what the "Vindicator or Guardian" with his many aliases says goes (Matthew 8:9) That determines whether they become friend or foe, as well. Some Wookie looking characters in the team as well. A pressing candidate, for sure.
Complete with a back cover picture of a sample of the ongoing Alpha Flight series that went on to flesh out the Canadian Team! Vindicator often finding himself needing to prove his intentions to be fruitful, with the X-Men seen as judge and jury!
Grader Notes;
light, multiple bend.
