Owner's Description
1st Mutant X (Proteus) Awesome addition before the book popped or got popular, from Keith's Comics (local comic store) Glad that this copy didn't get too damaged in my long boxes! I remember it more mint than that, but it's part of the reader run I had put together! A nice cover of the "Phoenix" in glory, but can it be that "she" has run her course? Perhaps now she is again out of control and broke her psychic bond to the earthly realm, and now, she is once again with the cosmos and more "herself!" That by definition of the "story" thus far could spell danger. Especially if she is no longer a down to earth and levelheaded entity. I never was ever sure why she could go from levelheaded to explosive, she fed off energy from the cosmos, but if she remained in a human levelheaded form, would "she" then just die for not being able to "destroy or feed?" Issue #125 is not quite where Phoenix turns red and black.
Complete with a back cover picture of where the phoenix is ALWAYS the center of attention when showing her power display, from Marvel Collection comic books art book! Art nothing else, but that'll do!
