1st appearance of Spawn (Al Simmons). Pitt pin-up by Dale Keown & Spawn pin-up by George Perez. Pull-out Spawn poster. George Perez with a nice little action pin-up! Woo-hoo! Spawn the under dwelling heel so to speak. Not going to do your dirty work no more! It comes down to Todd McFarlane and his creation with over a million copies distributed, I'm sure, and most sold. To the fans of the 90's it doesn't get more cliché than old Spawn. For what it was and the art, it sure touched a lot of people to see new ideas spread out in pin-up style. Fashioning this modern "Image" into a go to for collectors to read, and even made it to the movies! Classic watch parties with friends to see it spawn imagination. These were the hits!?! May they be revisited due to streaming and even given new media attention. McFarlane still gets on social to broadcast Spawn to this day, yet he is the "owner" so that checks out!
Complete with Figures, Vehicles, and Comics! Spawn was big! Spawn was advertised heavily, even in Wizard magazine, so here is a card from my personal collection to commemorate, as a back cover picture, that came with the Wizard magazine.
