1st Rogue in an X-men Title! With her short hair and temper, she is punching her way to the doors of Xavier's School. She'll fit right in eventually, although she herself has "absorbing" powers, after her run in with MS Marvel, they seem new and permanent. The mother Mystique is keeping her daughter second guessing her actions, to the point of regret and life altering decisions being made, and to be a WOMAN is what Rogue will learn how to be for herself. The X-men have their first impression, and it will take some cooling off to make things right, although recompense for Rogue and MS Marvel seem afar off. Many brute emotions, that call to mind what tender mercies were not being afforded. Rogue keeps her attitude early on, until she comes to the end of herself, as a lot of break downs do at rock bottom. Bought from Reece comics for $122 shipped with coupon on Black Friday 2022. It WAS a deal and affordable!
Complete with a back cover picture of the insides to this issue from an under copy. Showing Ms. Marvel playing a part, along with the Rogue being called out by name and a few human touches and a kiss later? Lookout the Wolverine! Showing promise on her resume. It will pack a one two punch for Mystique's daughter to join up and get along. Even with the X-men!? It takes those run-ins with formidable adversaries to prove worthy.
