My breakdown of issue 44
This was a pretty good issue; Wonder Woman and Darkseid battle it out while Steve and his men battle Darkseid’s minions. Jason and Grail square off but a few of Darkseid’s henchmen get the relics he needs and they place them into his device that he had been building. The device being a portal that opens up into Themyscira, Wonder Woman tries to pass into it but is rejected. Turns out it is made to only allows entry to those whom have never stepped foot into Themyscira. Grail enters into it and starts killing Amazons and telling them they are now servants to Darkseid.
