My breakdown of issue 20
Here we find Dr. Cale back in the past working to get her daughter restored to her former self, but with no hope from Dr’s she decides that magic is needed and a witch is what she needs. She summons a witch who is willing to help for the cost of gold, backstage passes to Bruce Springsteen, 3 pieces of Cales hair and an ounce of her daughter’s blood.
The Witch and Dr. Cale successfully trap and bind the two Gods that have captured Cales daughter’s spirit into the two dogs that Dr. Cale owns. But unfortunately it seems that the soul stone that held the daughters spirit had been fractured and the girls spirit is in the possession of Ares the father of the two Gods and Ares is a prisoner on Themyscira, thus explaining Dr. Cale’s obsession with finding Themyscira during these issues.
