Synopsis:
Love is dead-according to the Goddess of Love! A furious Aphrodite holds Steve Trevor captive in the middle of a war zone and tries to convince him of that very proclamation, but the hopeless romantic refuses to abandon his feelings for Wonder Woman. Meanwhile, Diana, the object of his affection, gets trapped in the bombed-out capital, where she finds the remnants of the local government and uses all her diplomatic prowess to convince them to end the conflict. My breakdown of issue 61
In this issue we see Steve and Aphrodite talk and how she doesn’t know why she is here on earth nor why she should be the God of love. Wonder Woman saves two children who just happen to be the grandchildren of the cities Prime Minister whom gets a message to meet for a cease fire from the enemy combatants. Aphrodite and Steve show up at the parliament building where Wonder Woman is at and they all agree to help the Prime Minister with his safety at the peace talks, when they arrive all they find is Ares waiting and ready to battle Wonder Woman for siding with the enemy.
