Synopsis:
At the behest of Aztek, Diana and Artemis join her for a trip to Mexico, but there's no sightseeing on the agenda. Instead, they must rescue a long-lost Amazon who's being held captive by rogue deity Tezcatlipoca, who's trying to break into our world. Can our three heroes save the missing Amazon, stop a raging god and not kill one another in the process?
Trivia
The battle against Tezcatlipoca (New Earth) pays homage to Crisis on Infinite Earths #7. At one point, Tezcatlipoca tells: "You turn in battle, woman? That is a fatal mistake!" before smashing Wonder Woman down. Those exact same words were uttered by the Anti-Monitor before blasting Supergirl away.

My breakdown of issue 53
We find Wonder Woman, her Aunt Atalanta with the help of Artemis and Aztek fight against Tezcatlipoca a shadow God that ultimately gets defeated by Wonder Woman using the mystic bow of Ra and her lasso. The issue concludes with Wonder Woman taking Atalanta and Artemis home to the island Bana-Mighdall located within the Atlantic Ocean with a final panel in the issue showing the Queen saying that outlaws and traitors are approaching.
