My breakdown of issue 8

I really, really enjoyed this issue! We get a back story of Dr. Barbara Ann Minerva way before she became the Cheetah. We find Barbara in her youth at play pretending to be an Amazon warrior. As she gets older we find her incredibly intelligent and on the world wide hunt for truth as to the existence of the Amazons. Barbara finally uncovers a dig with the tomb of the 12th queen of the Amazons which drives her harder in the search for truth. During that search she unknowingly comes upon a God(s) disguised as an old woman with a child. They tell Barbara that she is going the wrong way; Barbara finally understands not to look for where the Amazons came from but instead of where they went. In the end of the issue Barbara finds herself frustrated and alone on an uncharted island.
