I feel this cover was a missed opportunity, I hate to call it lazy, especially since I'm not an artist, but it could have been so much more, perhaps this was a deadline crunch. The story more than makes up for this, I actually got chocked up after reading it for the first time when I was a kid. Jonathan "Pa" Kent is still grief stricken over the loss of his son, a few flashback sequences emphasize this and the ending...
...is heartbreaking.
