Owner's Description
1st U.S. Appearance of Judge (Joseph) Dredd. Brought to film with a bit of moody display, it well fit the criteria of the comics. Here come the Judge. Dredd, he is in for the long haul, to take out the scum of the day. Originated in British waters, I believe, as a core grueling fashion portrayal of reputation from past times, that in a comic came to do a "brand" of justice. Especially in film, with at least 2 installments. Very futuristic and even kind of apocalyptic and with a similar apathy, unfortunately! This has been portrayed by even the likes of Stallone. Given the seriousness of the "police" of this comic era, it is strikingly eerie. I enjoyed the films, finally saw the 2nd in theaters. No hokey pokey turn yourself around allowed in this joint. 1 strike and you're out! Judge Dredd is coming for you! Justice? There is only Dredd, Joseph Dredd, the JUDGE! That is the secret to being cordial in comics, just call it like you see it with some attitude! That edge split the 90's down the middle!
Complete with back cover pic of issue #2, it's back cover shows Dredd calling out "FREEZE!" to a perpetrator, when he's already frozen and stone-cold dead. These issues were just getting started and are about to heat up the business!
Grader Notes:
moderate spine stress lines to cover;
multiple water stain left center of back cover;
small hole left top of front cover.
