Owner's Description

Moses Magnum, Sunfire, Misty Knight & Colleen Wing appearance. A flashy cover, if there ever was, with the coming of blasters and a suit. This issue is about midway through the run of the Phoenix and Dark Phoenix. These X-men can't catch a break. Good reads, although in one sitting it would be hard, as things happen to the X-men one after another. Still, classics, all of them. Enough that they were among the first stories represented within the X-men animated series cartoon, about a decade later. Yes, these steel trap villains are ironing out our heroes' soft sides, to make them capable. Love to see the X-men in action, in print or on screen! Ever notice that the X-men Animated series "Intro Music!" didn't have any words to it? Just by and by. We need something to sing aloud but can only hum! Moses Magnum this issue with newfound powers is trying to threaten the country of Japan, by being drunk on power with the belligerence of threats! The X-men are called upon to see if his "threats" are true and not made up and see if they have the chutzpah in teamwork to overcome.

Complete with a back cover picture of the prescreen pass before released to theaters of, "The Hustle!" A "BRITISH" woman overseas is so drunk that she wakes up with amnesia of sorts but is mistaken for someone influential with newfound abilities of power in the commonwealth, with money and entitlement. She runs with it to throw that power around, while she continues to drink, being belligerent and brash! A comedy of course, starring Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson. These X-Men issues were awarded the Eagle Award (a "BRITISH" comic book fan award) two years in a row in 1978 and 1979, for being both the favorite dramatic comic book and team. Moses Magnum's base is remarkably similar to a base used by Blofeld in the British James Bond film called "You Only Live Twice", taking place overseas in Japan!

Grader Notes:
light bends to cover;
light pebbling back cover;
light spine stress lines to cover.
