1:100 ratio Silvestri sketch cover. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I’m not a huge Silvestri fan. I do have two copies of this book though, a 9.8 signed in black and a 9.6 signed in red. That being said, I do like this cover. I’m pretty sure I like the color version better than the black and white sketch version, even with the finished quality of Silvestri’s sketch. It is really solid with strong facial and hair details. Sonja does look like she’s a badass, standing straddled over her recent kill, and keeping an eye on whatever is approaching from where the viewer is standing – which provides a feeling of being involved in the cover. I'm not excited that Sonja has her dagger in her primary (right) and and her sword in her off hand - she isn't left handed. There’s enough background to set the scene, even in black and white, and it feels dangerous. Overall, I like this cover – probably more than I should.
