When I had it SS by Stan Lee it went from a WP to a OWW copy when re-graded by CGC. Oh well!!
CENSUS: 6 in 9.8, 21 in 9.6 out of 250 graded copies.
22 SS copies, 3 in 9.8, this is one, the highest grade as of April 2023.
Key Comments. Origin of Daredevil retold.
Art Comments Stan Lee and Roy Thomas story, Gene Colan and George Klein, cover and art.
I also have a 9.6OWWSS copy also SS by Stan Lee.
Published in June 1969.

Prior notes...
CENSUS: 6 in 9.8, 21 in 9.6 out of 248 graded copies.
22 SS copies, 3 now in 9.8, I do think mine is the ONLY Stan Lee SS copy! I think!
When I submitted it, it was a WP copy. Hard to get a WP copy now.
Key Comments. Stans last contribution on Daredevil until he did a filler DD story in DD V20, which I also hold in my DD V2 set. The Origin of Daredevil retold.
Art Comments Stan Lee and Roy Thomas story, Gene Colan and George Klein, cover and art.

prior notes.
CENSUS: 6 at 9.8, 19 at 9.6 out of 172 graded copies.
18SS Copies, 3 now at 9.8 as of September 2018.
NOTE: I also have one in 9.6 OWW SS Copy also SS by Stan.
Published June 1969.

Prior notes...
Previously a 9.8WP 0053869013, and was part of the Slim Shady collections sold on Heritage Auctions last year. Only a few (4) at 9.8, and at least 2 are OWW now.
14 more at 9.6 out of 127 graded copies as of April 2014.
The dark blue in the 1/3 spine crease area makes it hard for 9.8.
This is the last story written by Stan Lee before he became the editor full time.
Part of the story taken from DD #1.
Titled "As it was in the Begining", issued in June of 1969.
