Set Description:
This was my first Daredevil Registry set, and since then others have popped up, 1-380, 1-80, the Miller Era sets, V2, V3, V4, V5 and variants and all the limited sets...but this was the first and thus my favorite, although the 1-380 and the 1st Miller set makes the most sense.
The focus of all my sets both for collecting and investment is to get the highest graded in WHITE PAGES, period.
With that said, this set in the 1-100 range now has 67 issues graded 9.8, the most of any collector on the CGC Registry. Most of those *(64) are WP copies.
For those old school DD collectors, I simply am comparing to the old Capt. Tripp set which held over 80 issues in 9.8, before it was broken up and sold four years ago.
Greg's old record, even if the set was sold, is still the CGC record to beat!
Also in this set you will find the highest graded Signature issues, period. DD 3, 4, 5, 6(in the system at 9.6), 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 13, 26, 27, 33, 34, 35, 36, 40, 41, 42, 43, 53, 69, 77 are all the top SS graded issues.
The balance of this 1-310 set is almost complete, but truly focusing on the hard to get ones now in 9.8WP.
Another slew of these are also Pedigrees of assorted flavors.
Many are without proper matching photos, I will remedy this in a few months, as I do not live where the comics reside...
I have lived in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, (RMI) since 1979 but collected since I was 12 years old in S. California (I am a Valley Boy, from a newstand at the corner of Ventura and Van Nuys blvd..and it is still there after 50 plus years!
I figure if ya want to collect a premium set, it should be 9.8 plus with WP's, so thank you everybody, even Dad, who didn't throw them out over the last 30 years!
Also within this set is the TOP Frank Miller era set of 158-191, ALL WP with five in 9.9 and every copy at 9.8 a SS copy by Stan the Man Lee, Klaus Jansen and more recently Frank Miller.
And if anyone has some comics I need, please let me know!
Enjoy!
