Story: "102 Uses For A Dead Cat"

Script by Peter David. Pencils by Rich Buckler. Inks by Bob McLeod. After losing her bad luck powers, the Black Cat barely survives a fierce encounter with the Foreigner's henchmen. Afterwards, the wall-crawler stops by Felicia's apartment to tell her about his visit to Doctor Strange. However, their not-so-friendly reunion is interrupted by Sabretooth, who is looking for a big kill in order to impress the Foreigner! How will the Amazing Spider-Man fare in his first battle against the savage Sabretooth? (Note: This issue was reprinted in Sabretooth Classics 4.) 32 pages Cover price $0.75.

This book is unique, and it features the rare "Mark Jewelers Insert" in addition it is a Newsstand, The Mark Jeweler examples, included a four page color insert. The rumor is, these books were distributed near U.S. military bases, both at home and abroad. The Mark Jeweler inserts allowed servicemen to purchase jewelry and engagement rings for good quality at a low cost. Nobody knows for sure, the ratio of Mark Jeweler examples to the standard but it is assumed they were produced in very limited quantity. The examples that survived are very hard to locate in high grade. Mark Jeweler examples are related to UNICORNS in the comic book world.
