Set Description:

I've loved Marvel comics since I can remember. Anytime I needed a friend or something to do, there was the Marvel Universe at my fingertips. However, good old Spider-Man was my favorite. I feel that Spectacular Spider-Man is one of the most under-rated series in the Marvel Universe. Over a year ago I decided to sell my collection of Marvel Comics and focus on my endeavor to complete Peter Parker the Spectacular Spider-Man (1st Series) in CGC 9.8 WP Grade or better. I am installing CGC 9.6 as place holders for now. It is alot of fun hunting down the issues needed to make the set complete. The journey continues..

This set features some of the only recorded Examples autographed by Stan Lee and others, In addition, many issues on the list are the solo recorded Census issues (currently). This set also is Including U.S. and Canadian Variants as well as Newsstand issues as they can be added.

The Crown Jewel of the set is Spectacular Spider-Man #1 CGC 9.8 White Page Notation, with Signatures from the late Stan Lee, and Mike Esposito, it also features Signatures by John Romita Sr and Sal Buscema. I am hoping to get it signed by Gerry Conway as well at a later time.

I know I am going to need help to complete this set in such a high grade. With a little help from the CGC Collector community, I know it can be accomplished!

Please message me if you have any of the missing issues in this set and would be willing to sell or trade for them. Even un-graded potential candidates are welcome!

Special Thanks to Comics Grading Company and the forum they created to make this possible.

Special Thanks to Hitman1099 many of the issues listed were part of his beautiful collection. Without him this set would not be near as complete as it is.

Special Thanks to Reynold Jay for the valued assistance hunting down missing issues. I encourage anyone to check out Reynold Jay's Back Issue Comix! for the help tracking down any links you may be missing in your own collections. He has been a great help and a trusted service!

Help needed: I am willing to purchase ungraded examples of the missing issues. If you feel they have a POSSIBILITY of reaching a High CGC Grade. I know grading is subjective, but I am willing to take people’s opinions. I have a post on the CGC forum "Searching for Spectacular" if you care to comment there rather than e-mail me. Of course, if you have already graded CGC 9.8 examples that are missing in this set, I would love to purchase them from you!

Thank you again!
