Owner's Description
Lizard appearance. David Michelinie story & Todd McFarlane cover & art! Breaking out all the classic characters comes Todd McFarlane in order to bring them up to snuff and up to date! Well, it was a long run here in Amazing Spider-man, and not all glitz and glamor but still shows the innovations and times as artists made it on into the 90's. Picked up from Fan Expo Dallas 2024 in tow with some friends and for $75. Deals to be had and with new artists trying their particular trade in inking and writing, this period piece is trying to move up through the ranks as they were considered movers and shakers. Time is on their side, and there is always the backdrop of the ever so sarcastic Spidey. A friendly neighborhood sure gets its time in the sun and between the pages, and it has that New York Label to bring front and center the area of origin for the good Daily Bugle and their star photographer, with McFarlane in between. Lizzy is trying to have dinner and is somehow forgetting his good doctor table manners.
Complete with a back cover picture of the Broken Lizards movie pin, "Just the Tip!" A comedy of the "slamming salmon variety" was always portrayed in that the Lizard always tries to leave gratuity for the Spider-man, in order to have Peter Parker not give up on this cold-blooded family man who deep down just wants to better society. It isn't a newspaper headline front page tip all the time, as Spider-man has to leave him a "broken lizard" in order to sometimes await the transformation back to normality, all in time!
