Owner's Description
Origin and 1st appearance of Hawkeye. (Clint Barton). Black Widow appearance. Stan Lee and Larry Lieber stories. Larry Lieber and George Roussos art. Don Heck cover and art. Essentially Clint is a carnival sideshow but still pretty good at his craft. He decides to dawn himself a hero, but when he is on the hook after foiling a robbery, much like the Amazing Spider-Man finds himself half the time, Hawkeye then turns heal and towards the Black Widow! Not realizing he is aligning with the Soviets but thinks her instead the "fairest of them all!" She then supplies him with specialty arrows, and they set their sights on the Iron Man to sport for affection. The arrows prove formidable but do not pierce the iron armor, and when they ricochet wounding the Black Widow, then Hawkeye thinks himself as the gallantry handsome prince whisking her away to safety. We all know these failures bring them to recant their evil ways, but for the Iron Man, it is seen as the temptations of poisonous fruit!
Back of Card and Stats!
Complete with a back cover picture of the prescreen pass, before released publicly, to the 2025 version of "Snow White!" Not thinking much of yourself, much like Hawkeye and Spider-Man, can cause you to seek the betterment of society, but when it is a desired fruit that you wish upon a star to seek, it can take on disastrous consequences that don't always turn into a "Happily Ever After!"
