Owner's Description
"Battlestar Galactica" adaptation. Dave Cockrum frontispiece. John Dykstra interview. Centerfold pin-up.
Marvel Super Special issue 8 featured an adaptation of the Battlestar Galactica TV pilot episodes titled "Saga of a Star World".
Some differences in the story were evident (like some of the earlier movie adaptation issues) based on an early script and included some distinct differences from what was televised. Differences provided by the Battlestar Fan Wiki included: Baltar was executed by the Cylons (this also happened in the theatrical release of the pilot), Lyra (Serina) was told that she was dying from radiation sickness (this ended up happening in later TV episodes), Cassiopeia did not survive the Ovion mines (this was a major change in my opinion), and in the final scene, Lyra said good-bye to Apollo.
This adaptation was written by written by Roger McKenzie and illustrated by Ernie Colón. The cover was Illustrated by Bob Larkin.
