Owner's Description

"Conan the Destroyer" movie adaptation.

Marvel Super Special issue 35 featured the adaptation of the film Conan the Destroyer from 1984.

I always enjoyed the opening comments of the original Conan films that went "Between the time when the oceans drank Atlantis and the rise of the sons of Aryas, there was an age undreamed of. And unto this, Conan, destined to wear the jeweled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow. It is I, his chronicler, who alone can tell thee of his saga. Let me tell you of the days of high adventure!"

The original story of the film was written by Roy Thomas and Gerry Conway. This adaptation was written by Michael Fleisher and illustrated by John Buscema.

The cover of this issue is based on the original movie poster. I unfortunately have not been able to find out who the movie poster artist was though. Maybe the movie poster artist was by Renato Casaro (the artist of the movie poster for Conan the Barbarian).
