Owner's Description
"Howard the Duck" movie adaptation.
Marvel Comics Super Special issue 41 (and final issue of this series) featured the comics adaptation of the film Howard the Duck.
Howard the Duck was based on the comic book created by Steve Gerber. In this film (that was produced by George Lucas), Howard the Duck is suddenly beamed from Duckworld, a planet of intelligent ducks with arms and legs, to Earth, where he lands in Cleveland. Howard becomes friends with Beverly (played by Lea Thompson of the Back to the Future films).
This was the last issue of the series known as Marvel Super Special. Marvel Super Special started with original Specials featuring Kiss, the Beatles and Weird World. It primarily became a series of movie adaptations though.
Marvel still continued with a lot of Movie Adaptations throughout the rest of the 80s and through the 90s too though. They were usually 3 issue mini-series or standalone books though.
This adaptation was written by Danny Fingeroth with art by Kyle Baker.
