1:1 ratio cover by the always awesome Panosian. I just really love Panosian's work in general and on this cover. The ant's-eye-view of Sonja is powerful. I love the primarily sepia tone palette with red highlights.
The crows flying overhead balance out the composition nicely - I wish there was a virgin variant of this cover.
Sonja's grip on her two swords is correct, as is her relaxed posture with the points forward. We don't know from the image where the enemy is - but at least he hasn't drawn her with her sword points stuck in the dirt.
Overall? I do love this cover - but I missed out on it at my LCS back in the day. Today I am really happy to have it, and while I don't need *another* Red Sonja signed by Dan, if there is an opportunity, I may have this signed anyway.
