Owner's Description
True Crime Comics #V2#1 is referenced in Fredric Wertham’s “Seduction of the Innocent” (SOTI) with illustration #11 and in the text on pages 81-82.
SOTI illustration #11 is taken from the splash page of the story “Boston’s Bloody Gang War”. It shows two bound men being dragged to death behind a car. Wertham captioned illustration #11 “Pity was the keynote when Homer described a dead body dragged behind a war chariot. Dragging living people to death is described without pity in children’s comics”. He goes on to describe the dragging scene in more detail in the text on pages 81-82.
