Owner's Description
"Blade Runner" movie adaptation.
Marvel Super Special issue 22 included the adaptation of the original Bladerunner film of 1982.
Like the Star Wars the Empire Strikes Back adaptation, this issue was adapted by the same ultimate creative team which written by Archie Goodwin, penciled art by Al Williamson and Carlos Garzon, and inked art by Al Williamson, Dan Green, and Ralph Reese. The cover was painted by Jim Steranko.
Although I love the artwork of this adaptation, the story would have ideally been given more pages to give a bit more breathing room (so to speak). For instance, this issue was the equivalent of only two standard comic issues in terms of pages (a standard issue at the time was somewhere between 17 and 22 story pages). For comparison, the Empire Strikes Back was allocated the equivalent of six standard comic issues.
