Owner's Description
2:1 ratio cover by Marc Wolfe. I don't know Marc's work, but he treats us to a full scene on the cover. Big, dead dude - probably got too friendly with Sonja. Swamp? Jungle? A little bit of both? Definitely headhunters. The cover image is deep, with a lot of layers providing depth of field and that helps set the scene. I think I would like a boa constrictor hanging down from one of the branches though. Kinda complete the trope.
Sonja's feet aren't visible, and her grip on her blade is weird as f*ck. She is muscular, but her stance doesn't support either being in the act of thrusting that blade down, or jerking that blade up and out - so I don't know what she's doing.
Overall? I'm weirdly satisfied with this cover. While it isn't good - it does tell a story and I am interested in what is inside the cover.
