Owner's Description

Other than some of the war covers this is the best cover. I mean, who does not love Cleveland, oops, I mean Feller. I love when a golden age comic does a closeup on the cover of the main people involed in the story. Really good looking comic given the grade. Only 3 others graded higher, a 8.5 and two 8.0. I would think this a rather rare comic. There is a blue dealer stamp on the cover that is also blue so I can barely make it out. the first line reads "Brownies Smoke Shop" and I can not make out anything on the second line. The third line ends with what I believe is "Anover" but what is before that I do not know. Anyway, great baseball and comic collectable.

The team, originally introduced within Detective Comics, was comprised of "allied" kids from England, France, the Netherlands, and Brooklyn, New York. This is the 3rd Highest CGC Certified copy.
