Owner's Description
This was a lucky raw 35.00 find in a local store. I don't make it to the local shops often, not because I don't like to, they just happen to be about 45 minutes away. On this day I went to pay for some modern books I wanted and behind the counter was this beauty. A fellow boardie happened to be in the shop at the time and I asked his opinion on the book. He thought a definite 9.6 and possibly a 9.8. The owner gave it to me with a 5.00 discount even though I didn't barter with him for a lower price. I sent it to MasterControlProgram and he pressed it for me. I wanted to be sure it had the best chance possible at getting that NM/M grade. In hinesight, it probably would have been fine, but my grading skills weren't as good as they are now and I lacked confidence.
This is another one of my favorite Miller covers. To me, issues 160 and 161 are,in a way, similiar to the Romita covers from issues 16 and 17. They both represent the coming of a new and exciting artist. Romita's calling just happened to be with Spider-Man and not 'ol Hornhead.
