Owner's Description
Issue #68 introduces an alien, Commander Calibax, alias Professor Cally, a character who tries comes to Earth with a plot to destroy GL’s power ring. As Professor Cally, he initially gives GL a device that allows his power ring to affect things yellow. But slowly the device saps the power ring’s power. Eventually, Hal is able to defeat Calibax without the power ring to return everything to normal.
We acquired our WP 9.8 in the 6/4/2012 CL auction when it was one of just two highest graded. As of May 2020, it is now one of just three 9.8s topping the census.
