"Lady Killer"

Matt starts this issue with a stroll down the wrong alley at night. Quickly accosted for "The Jimmy Fund" Matt takes out the three collectors and then beats time to the office.

On another street a journalist and her companion are looking to spot Matt meeting with a high profile client. They are quickly assaulted by someone large wearing spikes. Luckily our hero in the vicinity responds to their cries. He doesn't pursue though since the victims are in need of an ambulance.

Moving on he runs into his client, Melvin Potter, being arrested because he matched an eye witness description of the reported assault. The next morning at court Matt and Becky Blake see Melvin and Becky faints away! It turns out she was attacked during her law school days and her legs maimed by who she now thinks is Melvin. Matt gets a delay in the original Melvin Potter trial because of the recent arrest. Then, as Daredevil, he hits the streets looking for the real assailant. His hunt is interrupted by a break in at the Dibney Museum of Human History. Melvin has broken in to retrieve his Gladiator getup to feel powerful once again. Matt calmly talks him down.

Meanwhile at Betsey's apartment the true assailant has come calling. Betsey holds him off as her neighbors come to her aid. DD then really hits the dives and specifically the Pit. Four pages of broken tables, cue sticks and one standing Daredevil later it turns out Mikey is a dead ringer for Melvin Potter.

The next day Matt goes to see Becky and pleads with her to report the past assault to finally get justice on Mikey for robbing her of the use of her legs. As he leaves Becky dials the police.
