This is a very beautiful Conan 24 book at 9.6 with great cover gloss, cover orientation and cover centering. In contrast to what many collectors seem to believe, this is not the conclusion of the Barry Smith drawn Conan stories. After finishing Conan 24, Barry Smith continued his amazing work in Savage Tales 2 and 3, making Savage Tales 3 with an astonishing amount of 37 pages of pure Barry Smith art the final farewell from Barry Smith. But regarding "Conan the Barbarian" and "Savage Tales", Conan the Barbarian #24 was the last Barry Smith book to be printed in color, and the last cover done by Barry Smith, if that should count for something... :-)
Well, I do have another copy of this book rated at CGC 9.2 off-white, but I do have to look closely to see that this book at 9.6 with pure white pages is much better (and worth at least 4 times more than the 9.2 part). I guess this is just, what makes collecting CGC comics a lot of fun for nerds :-)
Although this book does not contain the first Red Sonja story (see Conan the Barbarian #23) it is considered a key issue, since this book contains the first full Red Sonja story.
