This is the worst New Mutants cover I have ever laid eyes on, mind you it is still a thousand times better than I could ever do. Once again this book is thanks to Rich Henn. However it is one of the best placements of any signature I have.
Issue 50 was great and this one just seems like filler, most likely because it is.
On page f is a small blurb "This Special Issue of the New Mutants Brought to You by Chris Claremont and Kevin Kowlan. Its Off-Beat, It's Different, and We Know You're gonna Love It!"
I understand that occasionally deadlines become past due and this feels like a book rushed together. The team grew over the years under Chris Claremont's penmanship. The art regressed the team to what seemed even younger to when they were first conceived and on page 13 Danielle Moonstar looks like a snot nosed kid.
