Bedrock City purchase - May 2016. There are only two 9.8's on the census...and I haven't personally seen a 9.8 come to market in all the time I've been collecting B&B's. This copy is tied with six others for second highest graded on the census.
The June Heritage auction had a PC 9.6 copy up for grabs. Due to the high volume of other B&B issues available in that auction, I had placed a reserve bid of $1,200 (which was multiples of what I paid for my 9.6), but was outbid. I briefly thought about going beyond my original reserve bid, when the live auction was occurring and my bid was outdone, but with two 9.8's out there, I decided to let that book go to another happy home.
This book co-stars a pre Neal Adams-makeover Green Arrow in his second appearance in the title (first with Batman). Green Arrow would appear in the most Batman team-ups in the series, showing up in #85, 100, 106, 129, 130, 136, 144, 168 & 185.
