While 49 may get the distinction of the first appearance of Polaris, 50 has the honor of giving her a trippy cover as drawn by Jim Steranko.
Book #2 acquired in my quest to assemble 49-51 signed by Steranko, I once again went above and beyond on the grade. I wasn't actively looking for a 9.4, just a copy with a quality signature. As it turns out, this was the best one I found in about a year of searching, and it has a bonus Stan Lee signature placed just about perfectly in silver.
This is also the first book I've ever bought with a stamp on it. Normally its a blanket disqualifying factor for me, but the book was too nice to pass up.
Details -- signed by artist Jim Steranko on 9/17/2011 and he who is Stan Lee on 10/13/2013.
