As of Dec 2025, I saw a 9.4 on ebay, but as usual, the seller wanted more than twice what anyone would consider a reasonable price, and no "make an offer" available because they know it's overpriced. So much for my rant!! This is a coveted Savannah Pedigree copy. I've seen many Savannahs without White Pages...there are many Savannah OWWs. I don't want to kick this out of my listed registry to get an overly expensive 9.4. It has one of the more interesting shades of green on a comic book.
Synopsis: Cover page title "The NEW Hunted Metal Men", which appears on the cover pages for MM33-MM36. The opening story page has the police hunting the MM and ready to fire when a large shadowy creature appears...and yes, looks like death. Thus the story title "Death Comes Calling". Death is some kind of sorceror banished from a planet Astra Maxima and apparently called Astra Maximan (cringeworthy title). AM falls for Tina (Platinum) and battles the Fire Dept (for some reason). The other MM are still battling the Police. AM tries to impress Platinum by making Dept Store dummies come to life (Dr. Will Magnus says "Revolt of the Dummies"). The MM use flamethrowers to melt the dummies. AM takes Platinum to his ship (kidnaps her) and tells her she will rule by his side (Can you say Psycho??). Tina makes the AM spacecraft fly into a Volcanic Eruption, which is supposedly AM's achilles heel (Extreme Heat/Fire). The final page shows a green hand rising from the lava in the Volcano with "Who's hand is it?" and "Don't Dare Miss It"...to continue in the next issue, MM35. To say this is a dumb story is an understatement. Yikes. (In my opinion)
