Owner's Description

A 9.8 WP Pedigree Copy.
And a Suscha News Pedigree.
I also have the TWO 9.6 WP SS Copies, both SS by Stan Lee in an attempt to get the magical 9.8 grade.
Those two failed...one was previously 1109741005. Another was a CBCS 9.8 copy that seemed to get a magic bump somewhere and was then graded 9.4 by CGC. I then had it sent and had it pressed at CCS and it was re-graded 9.6...haha...so LOTS of time and effort to get a 9.8 copy, and I had given up trying to get Stan to SS on this final one...as he sadly passed when I had the books in the SS box.
CENSUS: 13 in 9.8, 36 in 9.6 out of 294 graded copies.
22 SS copies, 2 at 9.6, both mine, the highest SS grade as of April 2023.
Key Comments. Rolling Stone magazine editor, Jann Wenner appearance. Origin retold., 1st appearance of Angar the Screamer.
Art Comments Steve Gerber story, Gene Colan and John Tartaglione art, Rich Buckler and Don Heck cover.
Published in June 1973.
