Issue #57 features the United Nations on the cover. In the story, Flash, Hawkman and Green Arrow agree to meet with three people and try to help them out. Flash meets with an African-American boy named Joel Harper, and with his aid manages to stop a bunch of fur thieves and inspire him to continue his interest in garments. Green Arrow helps Jerry Nimo, a Native American who was erroneously accused of aiding in a train robbery, the two work together and stop the robbers. Finally in India, Hawkman and Snapper help aid-worker Harvey Young make peace between two warring tribes that are in need.
While certainly it’s not the most exciting plot line, Issue #57 is nevertheless extremely rare in high grade, as our book is the only 9.8 with only one 9.6 as well. We acquired the book in the 6/8/2017 CL auction.
