My breakdown of issue 9

Story arc The Lies part 5 starts will Master Chief Trevor debriefing Director Bordeaux in her office over the last mission and gives her Urzkartaga in his plant form. But the REALLY cool part of this issue is with Wonder Woman, Commander Candy and Barbara Ann (Cheetah) at the mall clothes shopping for Barbara. While in the mall Wonder Woman steps out of the shops to say hi to her fans and artist Liam Sharp drew a full 2 page panel of the interior of the mall with the store fronts named after contributors of the Wonder Woman franchise over the years. We see a store called WMM for William Moulton Marston the creator of Wonder Woman, AH! for Adam Hughes, Great Scott’s for artist Nicola Scott, Jimenez for Phil Jimenez, Bolland for Brian Bolland, McSharp for himself (Liam Sharp), Pérez for George Pérez, J. Thompson for Jill Thompson, Gruck’s for Greg Rucka and Chiang’s for Cliff Chiang. I thought this was a cleaver and wonderful way to pay homage to Wonder Woman.
We see Commander Candy and Barbara Ann working hard to help Wonder Woman find a way to get back to Themyscira, and Wonder Woman as Dianna has a date, with Steve. During this time they catch up on the past and talk about how Wonder Woman dated Superman. In the end we get a beautifully drawn full page of the two of them kissing on the beach. Naturally their moment is interrupted as Barbara contacts them with a logical explanation as to how Wonder Woman can find home again and in the end Diana is reunited with her mother on an island leaving a cliff hanger for us.
