When this comic book came out I was working the night shift and trying to support my family. My oldest child was now a fan of Superman too and at six years old was watching Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman with me. She was my little buddy when she was growing up and was still quite star struck when we went to a comic con to meet Dean Cain....so much so that as we got in line to meet him she got so nervous that she left the line. By this time she had begun her own brand new family and had her baby girl with her that day. She put my baby Granddaughter in the stroller and began to circle Dean Cain's table using the stroller to give her a reason to walk by. My wife and I thought she looked like a shark circling her prey and we laughed as we watched her come close only to swim away again. Ironicly, when we got done talking with Dean we joined our daughter and went to sit down to feed the baby a bottle. As we were sitting there, who should walk up to admire the baby but Dean Cain. The look on my Daughters face was priceless! They talked for a bit and after Dean left she realized that for a Kryptonian he was pretty down to earth. Later that day she even had her picture taken with him. That day he cemented himself in our hearts as a wonderful and very real Superman. Superman had indeed come back to life both in Adventures of Superman #500 and in our hearts when years later we got to met the real Superman himself.
