New Mutants. Like the Scott Pilgrim vs the World movie, it's hard to make heads or tails of what the mutants are up to. We have to settle in for the hook and line and hope it doesn't sink the battleship of time! With the mutant Cable at the lead to head in full steam, we find the heart of the Mutants and they're rotten to the core. With more hits and tricks, they make it out the door. These new at the time heroes, were being written and a little convoluted even.

Many a gap between a cuff and a wrist, as most often the New Mutants get away with some art and most of all the timeline. With Cable at the helm, welcome to hijinks and an "easy" though convoluted fix, when the need arises!

The legacy was building and with new heart and an edge of the art world. It might be called in retrospect "alternative", but not so much in ideas or writing, or not as much except the art, which seemed odd and conceptual. It struck most to where they disliked it or loved it! It was the heels of a dilemma after McFarlane upset the apple cart, and those that wanted not so much to copy and paste but show their own ingenuity, thoughts, and skill. They no longer felt put in a box, and though the new one didn't "seem" to be hot off the presses, it was "new" enough that the mutants looked, felt, and read different. At the time it wasn't enough, but they did have a steady run and some nostalgia looking back.
