Standard covers are pretty hard to get a hold of around here for the fact that Diamond doesn't like sending Australia many comics that have been ordered. So this was a lucky hit at my local store.
You would think that straight from the shelf would be a nice crisp score however we cant be winners with 9.8 everytime. That is the most valuable lesson I've learnt from my first submission to CGC.
With this the Regular Cover I always make sure I've got a second copy to bag and board so if I feel like reading a single I can. But needless to say that I always buy the TPB as well.
I am however looking forward to grading the next set of covers for the series as well.

Another purchase from Ebay this year, I saw that IDW had a convention cover coming at SDCC which obviously I HAD TO HAVE!
I was a little happier with the grading on this one but obviously it wasn't a 9.4 (or higher). But I was happy with the fact that the grader had explained why it had been graded the score it had been on the invoice.
Limited to 500 copies at SDCC I made sure that I had a copy of this by the end of the con. I may live in Australia but I can still get my hands on all things great in the comic world.
Very big UPS on this cover from Dan, Erik and the crew at IDW for this cover. (And I mean VERY BIG KUDOS for this cover).

My second Nerd Block cover that I had graded by the Awesome People at CGC. As aforementioned on a previous cover I absolutely love how this cover holds true to the original 1984 movie poster. With maybe just one exception of Winston not being included on the movie poster. But again yet another fantastic cover to display along side the IDW convention cover which looks fantastic as well. Thanks IDW for such a great comic and I am looking forward to the new GB International later this month. Bring on the first issue!!

Purchased from Ebay with the sole intent on owning ALL Ghostbusters Get Real covers in this 4 Part series this was part of my first ever submission to CGC along with the other 3 covers for this issue. (After I received them from their respective sellers of course).
As an avid Ghostbusters collector I just had to have the old school meeting the new school in IDW's series that has graced us for the past few years.
I was a little unhappy with the grading received from this exercise but one cant complain because of the fact that they are now graded and awaiting a new home displayed on my wall in my man cave with all my other Ghostbusters collectables I've obtained through the years.
If you have any higher graded copies of this 'Nerd Block (Comic Block) Cover' please get in contact with me if you are willing to part with it so I can get the highest possible graded copy I can.

The Subscription Variant Cover was created by Erica Henderson for the first issue of the Ghostbusters Get Real series that has launched.
Picked up from my local store with the regular cover it was a long awaited release I was early on the door of my local comic store pretty much waiting for them to open.
I got the covers home and started all the paperwork to ship them off to get graded. Rubbing my hands together with glee and waiting for divorce papers it may have well just been one of the exciting days in my life (Apart from my recent wedding obviously).
And then the waiting started for my first ever submission to CGC Comics!
Now, just to get them recognised as a competitive set when I have more covers graded and competed.

My Fave cover next to the Comic Block Edition (and Convention Cover). This actually looks like an action figure with the shine from the CGC capsule.
