BB 55 is the first Metal Men team-up with a DC Superhero...The Atom. The Metal Men series itself didn't see any DC character appearances until Metal Men #21 in 1966. The villains in this issue are Uranium, the first robot created by Dr. Will Magnus, and female Agantha (Silver). This is an amazing book with vibrant deep colors, typical for the Pacific Coast Pedigree. Condition is as pristine as you can get except for a small bindery cut on the lower left reverse cover, giving it a 9.4. Otherwise this comic would have graded 9.6 or 9.8.
This is the 3rd Pacific Coast Pedigree comic I own along with a Metal Men #1 and Metal Men #20. I really like the Brave and the Bold DC series, but will keep to collecting the rest of the 9 total Metal Men BB appearances for now.

I'm excited Metamorpho is a superhero in the new Superman Movie (2025). Thank you James Gunn. Maybe he will get the Metal Men into their own movie. This is a really cool cover deep red/green colors and alot of action. The Great Mike Esposito inked this comic. Anyway, this is one I have not read yet, for some reason. I didn't have a copy as a kid, and I really didn't have too many Brave and Bold issues for some reason. I need to get a raw copy.
The story is "Wreck the Renegade Robots". Doc Magnus helps Metamorpho return to normal (human), so Metamorpho helps Doc Magnus when the Metal Men are turned evil by a douche (EEE-Ville) scientist named Professor Kurt Borian. Prof. Borian created copies of the Metal Men (bad copies) from his 15 years being shipwrecked on a desert island (right). However, Doc Magnus already had the real and cool Metal Men, which ticked off Borian royally.
To make a long story short, Doc Magnus turns Metamorpho back into his human form (Rex Mason), but Borian turns the Metal Men evil. The only way Rex Mason can help is to have Doc Magnus turn him back into Metamorpho.

Issue title "Rampant Run the Robots" . Pretty funny...Batman goes to the First International Exposition of Robots. There is an ad for Metal Men 28 in this issue on sale Aug 22, 1967!! Appearance of Dr. Daedalus and his robot "Icarus" as the villains...Icarus was destroyed.
Interesting...also a full page ad for the CBS Saturday morning kids lineup from Captain Kangaroo at 800 am to Road Runner at 130 pm. I know my parents never let us kids watch Saturday cartoons until 2 pm in the afternoon!!
Note: Another example of Newton Rings on this slab...frustrating.
