Another "Happy Hogan as the Freak" issue, but the story trope is enhanced by an amazing Johnny Craig cover with great linework and silver age sensibility with a Frankenstein-like Happy Hogan holding Pepper Potts while Iron Man struggles to reach him in the foreground. It's a beautifully illustrated book and this copy has the coveted white pages. Overall a cool, early volume 1 issue.

Not necessarily one of my favorite silver age Iron Man books, but it's got an interesting first appearance and of course another classic Johnny Craig cover. This is a nice example of this book as it sets in my set.

A fun book primarily because of the hunt it yields. An early example of a "variant" this book can be found with either a green or yellow band at the top of the Corner Cover box. I've had both raw for years now, but I'll have to spend some time looking for a sister slab to this one with the yellow bar. This is also the last .12 issue.
