Set Description:

Here are copies of my original collection with upgrades I purchased after having all the comics graded.

I started collecting all Batman related titles including Detective Comics, The Brave and the Bold, World's Finest and Justice League of America in 1964.

I grew up in the Bronx, NY. My brother Vinny collected Flash and Superman, my friend Rocky collected Sgt Rock and the other DC war comics and Thor, my friends George and Louie collected strictly Marvel Comics.
Eventually I traded for or purchased most of their collections when they stopped collecting comics.

I owned the whole collection of Batman before I decided to get them graded. I replaced every CGC graded "Restored" issue or had "Restoration Removed" as soon as I found out some issues were restored. Before CGC made the designation "Restored" - restoration was an art form!

The only "restored" graded comic in my set is Batman number 1. I purchased this issue from Steve Fishler before I got married in 1985.

Sentimental issues I own are Batman 35 (not graded) that my father bought for me after I broke my arm playing football from Howard Rogofsky.

My girlfriend Kathy purchased Batman 28 for me as a Christmas gift in 1984. We have been married since 1985 and she makes sure everyone knows to gift me Batman related items.

I give collectors tips on how and where to purchase and sell CGC graded comics. I also compare CGC graded comics and show viewers what Crossover Grading is, what Restoration Removal looks like, what "Old" slabs look like and what is "Reslab" and what a Mechanical Error is.

I visit CGC in Sarasota twice per year to drop off comics I want "Reslabbed" or graded.

I continue to upgrade my Batman 1-100 collection, just finished having my Amazing Spider-Man 1-100 with Amazing Fantasy 15 and the first 7 annuals graded and I am in the proocess of getting Batman 101-200 graded!
