Synopsis:
The Beast has started to undergo another painful mutation. It causes him pain and stress, and he hopes to be able to do something to help mutant-kind in case this kills him. On the Gold Coast, Australia, a young woman’s mutant power manifests, and Cyclops, Magneto and Emma Frost arrived to persuade her to go with them - or be left to federal officers. Cyclops explains that he must atone for his actions and make the world a better place for mutants, as hostility towards mutants is once again on the increase. This is recorded by the media, and at the Jean Grey School, Storm, Iceman, and Kitty Pryde discuss how they can stop Cyclops. But Cyclops’s crusade to recruit new mutants continues, as he liberates another young mutant from a Michigan police station. The Beast joins Storm, Iceman, and Kitty Pryde as they prepare to go after Cyclops, and a heated debate goes on between them about ensuring this does not become a mutant civil war. Iceman laments the fact that the Cyclops he grew up with would hate what he has become. The others notice something wrong with the Beast, who claims that he is just tired. In the past, a young Cyclops is writing a letter to Marvel Girl, when Iceman and the Beast return from being attacked by a mob of humans. The Beast is clearly upset, and plans to quit the X-Men - when they are confronted by the Beast from the future. Angel and Marvel Girl join in on the strange occurrence for the young X-Men, as the Beast explains that he needs their help, specifically, Cyclops’s, to prevent his future self from committing mutant genocide.

Trivia:
The scene Present Beast interrupted is taken from X-Men #8 (1964) (page 5). Back then he left the X-Men for the first time after a mob of Homo sapiens attacked Iceman and him. This assault between these two human races was the very first in the original run of the series.
Quotes: "The thing is, Ororo, I've known Scott longer than anyone. Me and Hank. We've known him forever. We were the original X-Men. The Scott we grew up with-- he would hate this. He would slap the holy crap out of the Scott we have now and he wouldn't stop slapping him. Right?" —Iceman

Synopsis:
At the Jean Grey School, Kitty Pryde and Iceman go to talk to the Beast but find his lab empty, and they fear he is up to something. Indeed, in the past, the Beast has confronted the original X-Men who are in a state of shock and confusion by the revelation he needs their assistance to save the future from Cyclops. He lets slip that Marvel Girl is a telepath, even though Jean has not developed those abilities yet, and that he can’t ask the Professor for assistance because the Professor in the future was killed - by Cyclops. The original X-Men eventually agree to travel to the future with the Beast. Upon arrival, they are shocked by the appearance of the Jean Grey School, leading Marvel Girl to wonder why the school is now named after her. Wolverine immediately detects their arrival and confronts them, but the past Cyclops fires an optic blast at him. Storm, Kitty Pryde, and Iceman arrive on the scene, and the Beast begins to have more pains caused by his approaching next mutation. He is taken to a lab, where his past self becomes very aggressive in trying to find out what is wrong, while the past Cyclops explains why they are here - because he needs to confront his future self, lest the mutant population destroys itself. Wolverine takes the “little X-Men” as he calls them to another room, and tells them that he is going to arrange for them to go back to their time without remembering any of this, but Marvel Girl uses her newfound telepathy to put him to sleep. The original X-Men watch media reports about the future Cyclops’s exploits, while Angel thinks they should return home. But they decide to check out the future Cyclops’s so-called revolution and steal a Blackbird to go after him. Wolverine, Storm, and Kitty Pryde are moments too late to stop them.

Synopsis:
Ten days ago, Cyclops takes Magneto and Magik to their new headquarters, the old Weapon X compound. 8 Days ago, Magneto and Cyclops hijack a convoy transporting Emma Frost. Despite their powers acting strangely, resulting in massive explosions as they crash the convoy, they free Emma, who still blames Cyclops for leaving her in the hands of the humans after he stole her portion of the Phoenix Force. Emma reveals that she no longer has her psychic power, and points out that the Phoenix did something to their powers. She starts to leave, when the police arrive. Cyclops contacts Magik to teleport them out, and Magneto promises Emma that they will fix this. Today, at the University of Texas, students are involved in a pro-mutant protest. A boy called Benjamin is reluctant to join in, but as he talks to a friend, he suddenly takes on her appearance and voice. Elsewhere Emma reports that another mutant has been located, so Magneto and Cyclops travel to the university, where Benjamin is being celebrated by the protestors. However, when Cyclops tells Benjamin that the new mutant revolution is starting, he is confronted by the angry original X-Men.

He is also shocked to see young Jean Grey, who is having trouble with her newfound telepathic abilities . The past and present Cyclops attack each other with their optic blasts, while Magneto deals with the other original X-Men, who are shocked to see the present Cyclops working with him. Benjamin, the new mutant that Cyclops was trying to recruit, is left wondering what just went on. At the Weapon X compound, new home of Cyclops and his renegade X-Men, Eva Bell and Christopher Muse are getting acquainted with each other, before Magik teleports in with Cyclops and Magneto, who discuss the appearance of the original X-Men. Synopsis:
The past Jean Grey finds her telepathic powers active and speaks with the present Beast inside his mind. They discuss their present situations, before the past Beast appears, explaining that the Beast’s genetic experiments on his own body are what is killing him. The past Beast continues to work on his future self’s body, while Jean Grey and the rest of the past X-Men, and several present X-Men - Wolverine, Kitty Pryde, Iceman, and Storm - are on hand. In the present Beast‘s mind, he starts to work through equations with his past self. Despite being ordered out of the lab, along with everyone else, Kitty Pryde returns to talk to the past Beast, who has a big attitude. Inside the present Beast’s mind, Jean tells him that he shouldn’t have brought them to the future, before wanting to know everything that has happened to her. The Beast lets her further into his mind, and Jean practically lives her life, experiencing many significant events, but she panics, and “falls” out of the Beast’s mind, where Kitty then looks after her. Outside, many students gather around the past Cyclops, while Wolverine confronts him, suggesting that he kill the past Cyclops right now - until the present Beast, alive and well, but his form changed yet again, appears, and puts a stop to Wolverine’s spectacle. Storm and Kitty are relieved that their friend is alive, but before the Beast can send the past X-Men back to their own time, Jean announces that they are not going, as she is seen what becomes of their lives, and will not stand for it. The past X-Men put it to a vote, but only Angel wants to return to their true time. The present Beast is concerned that the past X-Men cannot just go around doing what they want in the future, so Kitty Pryde promises to look after them. The past Angel is worried as to why no one is talking about what has happened to him, and when the past Cyclops tries to talk to Jean, she tells him to leave her alone. Meanwhile, at the University of Texas, the new mutant Benjamin has been kicked out of school, and as he leaves, he finds Cyclops waiting for him outside. Cyclops tries to talk to Benjamin and is curious as to his mutation power. Cyclops offers Benjamin training, and he somewhat reluctantly agrees, before being teleported to the New Charles Xavier School for the Gifted.

Quotes: "We're not going back. I've seen what is going to become of our lives. I've seen everything that gets us to this point. I'm not having it. No. We go back, and Charles Xavier, you said it, Charles Xavier will read our minds and know what Hank did here, and he will mind-wipe all of this from us. We'll never know that no matter what we do in the course of our lives as X-Men... we end up in torture and disaster. And disaster. All of us. Everything we're going to go back and fight for ends in my death, Charles Xavier dying, and Scott becoming everything he says he despises... and if that's the way it's going to be if that's our destiny, then we have to make sure it was worth it. We have to right things here. We have to do what we set out to do. We put things the way they're supposed to be, and then we go back. Xavier can mind-wipe the hell out of us. Hell, I'll do it myself." —Past Jean Grey to the X-Men

Synopsis:
Jean Grey from the past wakes from a nightmare where Cyclops and Magneto try to get her to join them before Wolverine kills her. Kitty Pryde hears Jean scream and goes to talk to her. Jean is haunted by the images of the future. Cyclops goes to the school cafeteria, where all of the students turn and stare at him. Feeling unwanted, he steals Wolverine’s motorcycle and speeds away. Wolverine hears his motorcycle leave and gets into a jeep to follow. Jean suddenly keels over as countless thoughts pour into her mind. Kitty helps her get ahold of her thoughts and they chat. Kitty tells Jean that she has a team to lead, to which Jean points out that she isn’t the leader, Cyclops is. Storm appears and points out that Jean is the leader, as the X-Men listen to her. Jean guesses that she and Storm are friends, and Storm offers to let her look in her mind, just once, before Jean realizes that Cyclops has disappeared. The past Cyclops arrives downtown, and asks a woman in a shop for a map, but becomes confused when she asks him if his phone doesn’t have a map. Cyclops wonders why the water is in bottles before the woman decides that he looks like “him”, and holds up a magazine with the present Cyclops on it. The past Cyclops wants to buy it and is astonished to learn the steep price. Wolverine arrives and pulls Cyclops out of the shop. Cyclops challenges Wolverine. They argue for some time before Wolverine suggests that they should send the original X-Men home. The young Cyclops attacks Wolverine with an optic blast, then escapes on the motorcycle while Wolverine is down. Meantime, the past Angel sits atop the Jean Grey school, brooding, before his present self appears. The older Angel accepts his presence happily before they go off flying. Elsewhere, an associate of a sullen Mystique shows her footage of Cyclops battling Wolverine. She is unimpressed until she realizes that Cyclops looks far too young, and tells her associate to gather everyone together, as she wants to see this for herself.

Synopsis:
Kitty Pryde supervises the original X-Men in a Danger Room training scenario against Sentinels. She has to deal with Marvel Girl’s intrusive telepathy, and the young X-Men fail in their assignment. After the training, they discuss what they did wrong. Angel continues to query why they are here, and where this apparent mutant genocide is, while Cyclops worries that he is not in control of his team. Trouble continues when Marvel Girl plucks the name Mystique from Cyclops’ mind, and the fact that he met her. Kitty is concerned about this, but when she asks him when he met her, he rushes away. The past Angel approaches the present Beast, asking about the mutant genocide. The Beast tries to explain to the young mutant how dangerous the world is for mutants right now, before noticing something outside. Kitty finds Cyclops, and tells him that he needs to talk to her about Mystique, while Cyclops is annoyed by Marvel Girl snooping in his head. Synopsis:
A large sum of money is being delivered to a bank - when it is suddenly attacked by Wolverine and the original X-Men from the past. In truth, the attack is simply an illusion courtesy of Lady Mastermind, while Mystique steals the money to fund her mysterious plan. Maria Hill arrives at the Raft maximum security prison and sees the death that has been brought to the facility. She becomes intrigued when she learns that a shape-shifter was posing as her, that Sabretooth was here, and the only prisoner taken was Lady Mastermind.
At the Jean Grey School, Cyclops and the renegade X-Men have arrived. Commotion ensues as he argues with the X-Men of the Jean Grey School, while many students and the original X-Men look on. Cyclops and Wolverine exchange words, before Krakoa tries to devour the renegade X-Men. Magik prepares to use her powers on him, so he spits them out. Magneto and Cyclops reveal that they have set up the New Xavier School to help train the new mutants that are emerging in the world. This angers Wolverine, Storm, Iceman and Kitty Pryde, while Cyclops offers the students of the Jean Grey School a transfer to the New Xavier School. Cyclops and the Beast argue, before the renegade X-Men depart, with Cyclops asking everyone to think about his offer. Wolverine is furious, while the past Cyclops tries to learn from the senior X-Men what made him turn out like he is. The X-Men discuss the possible location of the New Xavier School, and sending in one of their own undercover. They get a call from Maria Hill who asks the X-Men if they have been in contact with Mystique recently. They haven’t, but Kitty and Marvel Girl know that the past Cyclops has been. Cyclops is outside when the renegade X-Men return, hoping that some of the students have thought about their offer. The Stepford Cuckoos announce that they will transfer to the New Xavier School, and before the renegade X-Men depart, a voice announces that they will go too, shocking everyone.

Synopsis:
Years ago William Stryker preached to a large crowd about how the existence of mutants are blasphemous. Afterward Doctor Lyle Getz from A.I.M. talked to him about his son - Jason - sickness. Stryker insisted on his son being able to fight mutants when the day would come that he had to.
Now, Jason Stryker is holding the original X-Men team captive and demands revenge for his father's death. his henchmen argue though that killing the X-Men of the past might have unsuspected consequences. Shortly after this discussion, Stryker wakes up Laura to show her footage from when she was forced to fight other super-powered teens in Murderworld. Shortly after this presentation Doctor Monica Rappaccini from A.I.M. arrives and suggests to let the original X-Men go as their presence alone could have unknown effects, although she does plan to take samples of the X-Mens DNA to combine them with material of Inhumans. Before it comes to this the X-Men can use their powers to escape however. When Cyclops approached Laura who was sitting on the ground, she embraced him, a rare moment of her showing affection.
Kitty finally contacts S.H.I.E.L.D. to take care of the Purifiers.
