Set Description:

Born Again is one of the signature runs in comic history, and I can't remember reading another run with such breathlessness and excitement. This is so special to collect - the run entirely signed by Frank Miller. The only books I don't have signed by Frank, as of the closing date of the Registry, are 219 and 226. I do have 219 signed by Frank, but it's not back from CGC yet. Fingers crossed - if it gets the 9.8 it will be the only one on the census! I also have a 226 with a double cover in the process of being graded, and the 226 I have in the set is a pedigree copy from the Winnipeg collection. And last but definitely not least, the other book still at CGC as of the closing of the Registry is #230, signed by Miller and David Mazzuchelli. I'm having that one verified as Mazzuchelli's signature was not witnessed, but it's the first book I sent in when the JSA services became available!

Why is this one so terribly hard to get signed in a 9.8? I really don't know, but it is. As of right now, there are only two on the census. I hope that very soon there will be three, and one of them will be a double cover. It's with CGC being graded right now!

I've also got this one in a 9.8 from the Winnipeg collection, and it lives up to its reputation. It's clean and crisp, with white pages.

Gripping, heart-pounding, one of the best issues in one of the best runs ever written. It's genius - the Kingpin finds out Daredevil's secret identity, and starts to squeeze. Only 29 on the census.

I read this series after it came out, when I was getting back into comics. I read the whole thing straight through - just couldn't put it down. It's a beautiful arc, with Matt falling apart as his world crumbles around him. Beautiful cover, beautiful story - only 14 SS on the census in 9.8.

This, along with 230, are the most difficult to come across in a high grade. Blame the black on the spine? I was ecstatic when I got this one back from CGC in a 9.8 with white pages - only 12 on the census.

This is the other most difficult book to get in a 9.8 (along with 229), as there are only 8 on the census. Ben Urich is on the cover, and the issue introduces Sister Maggie as Matt's mother. This completes Frank Miller's reinvention of Matt's origin story, as told in the Man Without Fear run he did with JRJR.

This book includes the first appearance of Nuke, who made his TV appearance in the Netflix Jessica Jones series. There are only 14 on the census in a 9.8 that are signed, so it's another tough one to get.

The conclusion to arguably the greatest run of all time. I'm so incredibly excited to have it in a 9.8, with a witnessed signature by Frank Miller and an unwitnessed signature by David Mazzuchelli. Because Mazzucchelli doesn't sign many books, it's a truly unique gem in the set.
