Mike Mayhew went all out on this villain cover for a new Amazing #1! All the baddies look fantastic, especially my favorite - The Hobgoblin!
I'm not always a fan of the "virgin" covers, so I snagged this one with the trade dress. With all these characters it begged for a villain custom label!

Mark Bagley did a great job on this landmark new #1 issue. My main main the Hobgoblin was in on the villain montage so I had to track this one down and grade it.

This was one I just had to have. If not for this bad@$$ cover I may not have chased variants, but this one was just too cool not to track down.
There are other versions, but I just love the logo as opposed to the "virgin" editions.

Cho puts out some very cool variants, but I never chased them - until he decided to put the Hobgoblin on the cover! Sure he's barely there but I found 'em! Look at the glass shard on the lower right. I almost missed that one! This issue is a "Blood Hunt" tie-in and this variant is a much lighter tone compared to the blood red / vampire craziness of the standard cover. I like it!

See, this is why I have ebay alerts. I'm doing my best to stay up to date on the Spidey variants but some don't release the cover image until very late. I don't need them all of course, but since the Hobgoblin has been appearing that has made me pay close attention - and I still missed this one! At least one kind seller was good enough to slab this one for me and part with it at a reasonable price!
With this being a "foreshadowing" theme cover it's referring to the upcoming run our villain will be having in the "new" ASM run about to kick off. We'll pick this up then! ;) Cool, dynamic cover though!
